As of this writing, the Whitesville Rural Volunteer Firehouse offers the following:
“The Department and Board of Directors is working in coordination with the presumptive General Contractor for the project to establish a date for the official ground breaking ceremony. When a firm date has been established it will be communicated via broadcast print and electronic media.”
“This ceremony is an important milestone in the development and construction of the long-awaited Whitesville Rural Volunteer Fire Department Station at Cane Bay. Federal, State and elected officials will be present. The station will be dedicated to a fallen fire fighter. Print and television media will be present to report this important leap forward in enhancing the safety and security of the residents of Cane Bay and the surrounding communities.”
“The General Contractor is responsible for planning and coordinating the formal ground breaking ceremony and the agenda and date for the ceremony will come from the General Contractor.”
For those of us on the Fundraising Committee, it has been quite a year arranging everything from creating the firehouseatcanebay.org website, communication and marketing opportunities, bank accounts and audit processes, Coupon Book sales, website Brick Ordering, gathering Firehouse Build Process information, learning from and reporting on our County Council, researching alternate program sites, rescheduling and producing a multitude of fundraising programs.
From the beginning, the Fundraising Committee felt the responsibility to SAVE THE CHILDREN. Our original quest motivates us to do whatever necessary to bring our Fundraising efforts to fruition. We need you to be part of our team and help us SAVE THE CHILDREN of Cane Bay Plantation and surrounding areas.
